Internal Medicine & Primary Care located in Volusia County, Ormond Beach, FL

About Dr. Garofalo

Dr. Heather Garofalo, DNP, knew she wanted to work in the field of healthcare and medicine so she started in an EMT program while still in high school.  She entered nursing school after graduating and worked in Emergency Medicine for 5 years, 10 years in Pharmaceutical Research and demonstrated her determination by doing double duty, simultaneously completing her BSN, MSN and DNP in that time. Actually triple duty when one considers the family description below!

Dr. Garofalo believes true and effective healthcare requires a partnership between Patient and Provider, in which they work together to analyze current and future options and determine proper testing and treatment options. The true Goals are to identify and treat the CAUSE of symptoms, for a better long term life, and not merely treating for short term relief.

Heather and husband John have been married 15 years - they have a 13-year-old daughter who rides horses on the weekends and 10-year-old son who is an avid reader and video gamer.  On her off time Heather likes long distance running and spending time at the water park/ beach/ pool with the family.
